The heart of our brewery is a 3-vessel, 7bbl (217 gallon), electric brewery, installed in 2013. This state-of-the-art brewery was manufactured by a joint venture between Brewmation (New York) and Stout Tanks (Oregon). The mash tun, hot liquor tank and brew kettle are all controlled by a touchscreen control panel, and the brewery was the first of its kind from this joint venture to be assembled and put into production in the United States.
We produce over 40 different recipes of craft beer annually. The taproom generally has 13 styles available on tap with growlers and 12 ounce cans to-go available. You will always find our staple beers like Amber Ale, Fenton Light, Unbridled IPA, Staggering Bull Imperial Nut Brown Ale, Eminent Double IPA, and our gold medal winning Swingin’ Berries Double Cream Stout Blackberry Merlot, but we also have many unique, rotating recipes including What Happens in the Kettle…Sour, Octovus Triple IPA or Black Perle Baltic Porter to name a few. Guests can enjoy sampler flights and get carry-out growler fills or cans 6 days a week.
Although growlers are primarily used for carry-out and we offer great weekly and monthly specials, we also do bottled beer too. Small quantities of 12oz and 22oz bottles are available. Popular bottled beer include our charity beer Hans’ Golden Tripel and our silver medal winning Staggering Bull Imperial Nut Brown.
Throughout the year we have many special releases on tap and in bottles – most notably our St. Gin’s Imperial Whiskey Stout on St. Patrick’s Day and our Kickin’ Strong Ales in the winter. Tasty variations of these beers are released at different times throughout the year including red wine barrel aged, Michigan cherry, vanilla bean and winter spiced. Vertical and horizontal tasting events are offered when we have a great line-up of variations or years.
