Greetings and happy Thursday FWB friends, family and fans.
Just curious if you guys caught our post on the history of “Beer gardens” in America. Click here if not.
We just wanted to point out to you that OUR Beer Garden is going to be a real “throwback” to that old style of German garden–more like a “park,” with lots of green grass, a couple of ponds, flowers, hop vines and even a small vineyard.
The space between the new Taproom and brewery, which are located in the warehouse behind the house-like building that formerly housed the Creative Wood Products showroom and offices at 1370 North Long Lake Road will also be an accessible area (in the eyes of the Michigan Liquor Control Commission a “licensed area”). You can grab your favorite FWB brew or glass of wine of one of our delicious “fusion brews” like Swingin’ Berries or the new Bloomin’ Berries and head over to the garden. There will be a patio area with tables along with the wide expanse of green grass. It will have a nice, open, family-friendly feel.
Here are a few pix in progress.
Remember, we are OPEN TODAY (Thursday) from 3-7 p.m. in the WAREHOUSE behind the front house-like building. You can get growlers filled or re-filled, grab a bottle of wine to take home or snag your home brewing or wine making supplies (or, even better, just say “hi!”)
cheers,
Matt & Ginny
