Happy Monday FWB friends!
We have a project for you.
The next time you go to a bar, especially one that features a lot of beer on draft, take a few minutes and study the “art” arrayed in a row, where the bartenders go to serve the beer. In other words: look at all the tap handles.
Tap handles are a concept breweries give a lot of time and attention to, especially now with all the competition in the craft market. It’s key to look unique because many times a customer will come in wanting to try something “new” and will study that “first impression” represented by a brewery’s draft handle at a bar.
We knew this, of course, and spent a fair bit of time deciding what sort of art we wanted representing us at both our own bar and out in the greater world of bars where our beers would be served. Our handles are fashioned directly from a piece of Lake Michigan driftwood that our family found last summer. Matt’s engineering background in plastics pays off for the brewery with these unique handles.
They are especially cool when back lit…
So go ahead, next time you’re in a bar, take note, and let us know what tap handle caught YOUR eye.
CALENDAR NOTE! This Friday, June 20 is the MOVING CELEBRATION at 1545 N. Leroy St. in Fenton. As of Saturday, June 21, the “Leroy Lounge” will be closed as we move everything over to our NEW location at 1370 N. Long Lake Road.
