FENTON BREWERY CRAFTS NEW BEVERAGE EXPERIENCE WITH FUSION BREWS
–Fenton, Mich.
Fenton Winery & Brewery announces a new beverage experience with their “fusion brews” Swingin’ Berries and Bloomin’ Berries. Both beverages are made of wine and beer in a way unique to the industry and many consumers.
Instead of simply combining them after they are finished like a “beer cocktail” or adding wine ingredients (or grapes) to a beer recipe, Matt Sherrow, owner and head brewer allows the beer and wine to ferment together. The introduction of the two crafts is done at a specific time in the process, forcing the flavors to fuse and combine in a way unlike any other fermented beverage.
“Our original fusion brew, Swingin’ Berries, a blackberry merlot double cream stout has become such a hugely popular brew, we crafted another one this summer called Bloomin’ Berries. It’s a wild berry shiraz Imperial Blonde,” Sherrow states. “We currently offer the Swingin’ Berries on tap and in very limited quantities of bottles. The Bloomin’ Berries is on tap only.”
Both of these brews will be featured at a “FUSION BREW NIGHT” event at Ashley’s Ann Arbor (338 S. State Street, Ann Arbor) on Tues. September 23, 6-9 pm along with Head-On Collision Black IPA , Eminent Double IPA, Staggering Bull Imperial Nut Brown, Unbridled IPA, and Lights Out Wheat Porter. Both Matt and Ginny Sherrow, owners of Fenton Winery & Brewery, will be on hand to answer any questions about their products.
Fenton Winery & Brewery is located at 1370 N. Long Lake Road in Fenton, Michigan. The facility features a Taproom inside the brewery, a winery with observation room, and an outdoor beer garden alongside their 250-person banquet facility.
