Circa 2007…the FWB Journey begins!
Greetings fans! It’s history lesson day! No there will be no quiz…
So you know we started as a winery.
In 2009 we added “brewery” to our name and brought 4 beers on board using our “nano system” that crafted about 15 gallons of beer at one time. We had 4 beers on tap in the “Leroy Lounge” alongside our wines: a wheat, amber, Imperial nut brown and a “rotating” tap were welcome additions.
But word grew about how delicious these brews were and so we kept our eyes on the prize: distribution! (basically, this is beer biz jargon speak for “getting our beer out into OTHER bars, restaurants and stores for your purchasing convenience).
So now that we have our lovely new, 10,000 square foot facility at 1370 N. Long Lake Road and have signed on with Rave Associates we are ready to roll. We bought a new, electric brewing system (3-vessel/ 7 barrel/ 217 gallon) that is state-of-the-art in design and started putting that sucker right to work.
